With a network of offices in Asia, our Client is able to complete supply chain management from transportation and documentation to warehousing, sales and distribution through locations strategically located throughout this region.

From container coating in China to wood coating in Thailand, from architectural coating in India to offset ink in Malaysia, from construction coatings in Japan to marine coatings in Korea, our Client works with their customers with product selections and recommendations to meet their specific needs. The product portfolio consists of acrylic resins, rheological modifiers, pigments, colorants, fillers, additives, solvents and other specialty chemicals.?   There is a new position available in the Jakarta office for a Supply Chain Manager. Supply Chain Manager (experience in chemical industry needed)

Responsibilities:

• Manage overall warehouse & import operations
• Develop & support implementation of strategic & competitive advantage initiatives with supply chain: cost?efficiency, refilling, repacking, blending, labeling, bulk handling , bonded warehousing etc.
• Vendor management for cost improvements – clearing agents, trucking, warehouse etc.
• Networking at customs, port authorities, dept of trade etc
• Manage Regulatory, ISO, Responsible Care requirements etc
• Leading and Training of supply chain staff , ~ 10

Requirements:

• Possess around 8 to 10 years of relevant experience with the recent 3 years in a supervisory role.
• Working experience with MNC preferred.
• Exposure to chemical industry a strong plus.
• Good written and spoken English.
• Able to travel to other parts of Indonesia for work when needed (nb – not heavy)
• Team player with good communication and presentation skills.
